A lil bit of celebration…

Popped into Modern Pastry for some cannoli and some of these guys. After a tweet asking what they’re called, I got a mix of people saying rainbow cakes and some saying rainbow cookies. Either way, the ones at MP are perfect.

On a recommendation from my friend Liz, I stopped by the North End Fish Market (aka Mercato del Mare, @northendfish). They’ve got a variety of fish cuts, but also lots of pre-prepared food you can take home… stuffed clams, arancini, shrimp egg rolls, salmon, lobster mac n cheese, even gluten free tuna burgers. There’s no place to sit inside, so I recommend heading over to the Greenway (@hellogreenway). Methinks I might be stopping by here a lot after work.

After my first day of work, we headed over to Island Creek Oyster Bar (@ICOBar). I told the bartender I wanted a sweet cocktail and he brought over a Jack Rose. Great suggestion, kind sir!

I could probably eat 45 of these Crispy Oyster Sliders (still at ICO). They had the softest brioche rolls and a super yummy lime chili aioli.

At ICO, we ended off with this chocolate torte that was topped with a milk stout ice cream and candied peanuts.

These ginger and scallion noodles at Jade Garden Restaurant totally hit the spot.

Truth. It happened.

My first stop into Thelonious Monkfish (@tsmonkfish), I had to get the coconut curry fries with massaman curry. My heart stopped a lil bit when I saw the fries were coated with tempura, but we just had to try em.

I’ve got more food pix on Foodspotting (@Foodspotting) from my adventures this week if you want to check them out. :)

How about you? Eat anything good lately? Post a pic!
