#CharityTuesday Roundup - June 14th

Skipped and jumped a week with #CharityTuesday because I’ve been on a bit of a volunteer bender. I started my new gig today (post soon!) and so I wanted to get in a few volunteer trips before things got super hectic. During the last couple weeks I worked the registration table at AIDS Walk Boston (@aidswalkboston), did a bit of painting at the Mary Lyon School on Tech Gives Back Day (@TechGivesBack), helped clean up at the Mass Challenge (@masschallenge) office, and this past weekend I re-stocked sippy cups (among other things) at Room to Grow (@roomtogrow_org - pictured above). Variety is the spice of life. heh

Anyhoo, I’ve got a few causes I wanted to bring up…

* Now through Saturday, June 18th * A portion of the proceeds from the entire week’s sales at Turner Fisheries (@TurnerFisheries) will be donated to help Good Sports (@GoodSportsInc). GS is a program that “distributes equipment, footwear, and apparel to community organizations offering programs to disadvantaged youth.” http://bit.ly/mtNwmZ

* now through Sunday, June 19th * Hidden Boston (@hiddenboston) posted a blog this week (with the help from Image Unlimited Communications @ImageUnlimited) including restaurants that are donating anywhere between 10-100% of the proceeds on certain specials will to those affected by the recent tornados here in MA. http://t.co/tPAnZ48

* month of June * Farmers Are Cool (@FarmersAre) is donating 10% of their sales to farms that were affected by the MA Tornado. http://bit.ly/mHafCL
